Today's blog post was written by Andee Meyers & Jack Cook

Today's Scripture is from 1 Corinthians 10:31-33- "So, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks, or the church of God- even as I try to please everyone in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved."

Today's quote is from G.K. Chesterton- "There is no such thing on earth as an uninteresting subject; the only thing that can exist is an uninterested person."

Today was day three of our business seminar! The first two days were very successful and we were excited to get our new groups today. There were some new challenges today, we were in a new space and experienced a lot of technical difficulties, but we were still able to deliver our presentations and get some good small group conversations going. The students seemed to really learn a lot from the session titled Selling Yourself, where we talk about how to write resumes and give a great interview. We are hopeful that during the job career on Friday that some of our students will be offered employment. Also, many of the students came in their best dressed. We even had someone come in a full suit with a bow tie!

Today's lunch was an accurate picture of a typical Zambian meal. We had Nshima, as per usual, along with Nkuku (chicken) or Nsomba heads

(fish), rice, and beans. We are all getting a little better at eating the Nshima with our hands, but we are still amateurs compared to the Zambians.

After we finished the business presentations we went to visit and learn from our friend, Charl Marais. He owns a construction company here in Lusaka where they specialize in prefabricated buildings for areas that are underserved and difficult to reach. Their most recent project has been building hospitals all over Zambia which has resulted in a decreased maternal death rate and infant death rate. It was ver interesting to learn from his experiences and gain knowledge about running a business in another country.

When we finished with Charl, we came back to the lodge where we enjoyed a nice dinner with a yummy dessert. Today has been the coldest day so far which put us all in a very sleepy mood. We prepped for tomorrow and talked about the devotional and then went off to bed!

Please continue to pray for our students and for a successful career fair on Friday. Thank you so much and Usiku Wabwino (goodnight)!
